Bought this for an old laptop which had very limited USB ports available. I tested it on 4 computers/laptop and it works like a charm on anything within 5 to 6 years old but when it was plugged in to pc’s that are about 10 years old it was not recognized. So I guess anything running on Windows Vista or XP you might have a problem. Windows 7 and up it shold work like a charm. Plugged it in USB 3 and USB 2 ports and it works as promised, files transfer was quick and painless.

I bought myself a new notebook pc that only has a single usb 3.0 port and I have a external portable hard drive occupying it so I went shopping for ones that are usb powered, no bulky AC adapters to carry with you. Well, I could only find at the usual big retailers ones that require a AC adapter and so I came across this Anker Ultra slim 4-port USB 3.0 Hub and not only was it USB powered, the price was exceptional, the same price as the USB 2.0 4-port hub that was on sale not to long ago at Best Buy and it had a AC adapter. So I bought the Anker and it is a well made unit, that is plug and play, no software or drivers to install and with its slim size, will not take up much space in your laptop bag at all. The USB plugs at both ends fit very well with very little play. All in all, I am very satisfied with this purchase and the delivery was as fast as usual. Nice product Anker, five stars

Purchased to use with my 2015 MacBook Pro Retina, which sadly only has 2 USB ports. This works very well. I especially enjoyed the extra little touches in the packaging. Anker seems to really care as a brand, and it definitely instills a feeling that they stand behind their products well. In terms of the USB hub itself, what can I say? It seems well-built, the USB 3.0 ports have good throughput for read/write, and the compatibility was a complete nonissue. It was simply plug-and-play. I think the cable length is perfect for this use, if not a bit long, but that is really nitpicking. This product deserves five stars.

Great for new laptops and computers that only have 1 or 2 USB connectors. For $15, I would have expected a slightly better build quality as it feels a bit plastic but works well with all my USB 3.0 peripherals. If you are planning on using any Logitech product with their Bluetooth dongle, please check the compatibility. I am unable to use my Performance MX Mouse with a USB 3.0 hub. This isn’t a fault with the Anker device, but an issue with Logitech Bluetooth products that are designed to be used over USB 2.0.

This USB hub works great. Just be sure not too plug too many things into it at once. I own a Surface Pro 3 with only one USB port. I needed to plug in a few things and they might be drawing too much power because the peripherals will work inconsistently. It has no problem with smaller types of peripherals (like jump drives, etc..). The best part is the portability. It is the smallest 4-port hub that you can find. Great Deal!

amazing little device super small/light and fit the size of ultrabooks, i was sure it could charge device if plunged in outlet but thats my bad, its the other model that does that …. the only issue i am having is it does seem to recognize my new SSD external drive , it does well with HDD USB 3 and even USB 3 stick … cant seem to figure out the exact reason but i think it on my part not the device

When I first tried this USB hub, I connected it to my Mac Mini (late 2012). Within a few minutes my wireless keyboard and mouse started to freeze, lag and become unresponsive. I started to return this product then read some articles online about USB 3.0 causing wireless interference in the 2.4Ghz range. See here: […] Then I tried a USB extension cable, attached the hub and everything is working fine. So I learned not to plug this directly into my Mac Mini. This isn’t necessarily a problem with the Anker product but my guess is that they could have shielded the RF signals from the connector better (or Apple could have on the Mac or both companies).

Super slim, fits anywhere, super light, packs away easily, no noticeable drops in transfer rates whatsoever, and stylish to boot! I’m very pleased with this unit and cannot recommend it highly enough! I attached it to the back of my iMac using adhesive velcro strips and thus neatly keep it tucked away – my desk has never looked better or more organized, and I can detach it easily when I need to use it on the go!
Cherubyx –
Nicely packaged and easy to open. I had no issues plugging in two phones (iPhone 5S and OnePlus One) to charge and to do my development with it on my Macbook Pro. I haven’t tried with a mouse and keyboard yet, so I can’t comment on the behaviour and ease of use. Although I did notice it was a bit difficult for one of the USB plugs to connect (yes in the right orientation) – I had to force it. UPDATE: I have a mechanical keyboard (with lights), mouse, two phones (previously mentioned) all plugged in and there are no issues with plug and play! It’s wonderful, thank you!
Donavin C. –
Super slim, portable and practical. Definitely an attractive looking product that works just as advertised. This classy Apple-like design, produces normal expansion to your PC. Small in size for additional ease of mobility, and set-up. Save on file back-up time with data transfer speeds all the way to 4.7 GBps (In Theory), Which is Considerably faster than USB 2.0 Earlier.

I needed this item for my workplace, where I move desks frequently and have a wireless mouse and keyboard I need to plug in each time. This made the process much easier, as I only have to plug in and remove one thing. I haven’t noticed any delay in information, or any issues at all. Works great and is small and compact. I would have possibly preferred a longer cord, however.
Hong Li –
My USB 3.0 external hard drive works with this USB hub. But the size of USB ports seem not accurate. Had a bit difficulty to plugin the USB cable to ports. Update: Anker customer service contacted me, and sent me a new USB hub in about two days. The new one is better in term of USB port size. I do think Anker has very good customer support.
Caio Dias –
Simple USB Hub that works fine. I’m using it to keep my mouse and backup HD connected at the same time. It seems to be made with good materials and very resistant. Only pay attention on how many items that need so much energy. For example HD discs/PowerBanks. When I plugged my iPhone and there already was the mouse and backup HD disc, I received a notification from macOS informing that the backup HD was ejected (probably due to power consumption from iPhone).
Runefox –
This little USB hub is a great addition to my desk and my mobile bag. It’s small, stows easily, and is easy to mount with some velcro tape to the underside of my desk. The cable, while unfortunately hardwired, is thick and sturdy, and the hub itself really is minuscule in height, being roughly the combined height of two USB ports. Be aware that the version without the power adapter has no jack to accept one, so purchasing the bare hub will get you one that can’t be powered.
Golden Hammer –
Tight fit as other reviewers here mentioned. Anker is known for precise builds (at least their 4-port wall charger) so I actually appreciate the fact. Doesn’t help dissipate heat much. My BT dongle must be having a little campfire in there somewhere but that can’t be this little hub’s fault. The cord length is very well documented in the photos and wasn’t a surprise during unboxing. Please know this is a discreet, ‘slim’ data hub which is perfect for travel where terrain includes laps and trays — bread and butter for portable devices like this…!
danny –
Great and doesn’t lower transfer speeds However I did notice it’s quite easy to put a USB backwards in this unit, and when that does happen my pc shuts down, happened to me about 4-5 times that I inserted a USB backwards (other models its almost impossible to force a usb in backwards)
Treponim –
cheaper case than I was hoping for, the usb ports are a little bit snug and it is difficult to fit usb cards into them. Kind of an unpleasant user experience. Update: Got an email offering a replacement from their customer service, and they opened a support ticket for me just from this review. Great company!
Amazon Customer –
Does what it needs to by and large, but at least one of the 4 ports seems to intermittently cut out – it’ll just stop transferring data entirely across it for several seconds, and then resume. Not enough of a problem for me to bother returning it since I only use 2 of the ports anyways, but I guess buyer beware. The speed over the other ports is good, so it seems to at least be living up to its advertised 3.0 rating.
Lionheart –
Very good, it’s not only small and portable, but very highly durable, lubrificated cable, thick and the ports are TIGHT so you almost can’t break any ports or USB devices. I super glued it on the table using Krazy Glue and it’s super cool, you just plug in your USB 3.0 Hard Drive and the speed is the same as if the Hard Drive was directly plugged in the computer. (I have more than 1 thing plugged in at one).
Kyle O. –
Looked like a great deal for the price so I bought 3 of these for the office. All three of us are using macs with logitech keyboard and mice that use a unifying receiver. Unfortunately, several times a day our different logitech keyboards have a significant delay (20 seconds or more) when the receiver is connected through this usb hub. There is nothing else connected to the hub and when we move the unifying receiver directly to the mac, the issue disappears. Otherwise this hub works great but if you’re a mac user using any logitech keyboard I would maybe consider the amazon usb 3 hub instead.
David P. –
Great USB hub, my only comment is if they could make the USB connector and the hub separate, it would be even better for me so I can adjust the length of the cable as I’d prefer a longer cable. Otherwise, it is ultra slim, reliable, doesn’t require an external power source, build quality feels like a solid plastic, and it can charge my phone at a decent speed. I use it on my MacBook Air, and it’s worth considering Anker’s 3-port USB with Ethernet adapter, which is pretty uncommon; I would have gotten that one if I didn’t already have an ethernet adapter.
Tesla1026 –
This is a simply awesome product. Able to power 3 external portable hard drives and a wireless mouse all connected at once. Though my first one happened to be a lemon, Anker customer support was fantastic. Very pleasant to work with to resolve the issue. I would have no hesitation in recommending this for anyone looking for a simple, yet very well built and functional USB 3.0 hub.
Paul Sahota –
I have Apple TV 4 and Chromecast connected to this and other HDMI end connected to HP monitor. Apple TV 4 when turned on does not switch input automatically, initialy it did. Basically majority of time it does not switch automatically. If Apple TV is connected to 2nd HDMI port. Apple TV request to enter code to airplay everytime. Even though no code is set up in settings. If connected to 1st and 3rd it doesn’t. So overall my experience has not been good. I choose this thing thinking it is better than other cheap ones. There are other same and cheaper. I would suggest you buy those instead. This is no different than those. May be better built.
catlover –
I received this right on time with no problems at all. This USB Hub is much smaller than I expected but that is a very good thing! It is solidly built and I love that it doesn’t feel cheap in any way. I tried it out and it works beautifully. If the way it’s built is any indication, I think this little but useful gadget will last a very long time! I would definitely recommend this to friends.
JayP –
Well built like you can always assume with Anker products. Works very well and hub was automatically detected in Win 7 and 10. It is not a powered hub, so depending on your computer/laptop, don’t expect to plug in 4 portable hard drives and assume they will all be powered correctly from your single USB port that this connects into. That in itself is not a product design flaw or anything so I won’t take away any stars for it but it’s still something you might want to keep into consideration. It’ll all depend on how much voltage/amps your USB port can provide. If you have a low power USB port, get a powered USB hub.
Nathanael –
PROS: – great price – easy setup – nice low-profile design CONS: – would be nice if the main cable was extendable or at least a bit longer (right now it just hangs off the back of my PC tower dangling with all the cables) – feels really really light/cheap (maybe it’s the materials? but it really feels hollow and fragile..you wouldn’t want to drop this!) OVERALL: A great little product that comes at an awesome price. The USB 3.0 speeds are good, nothing to complain about. Too bad the connecting USB cable isn’t a bit longer, but can’t complain for the price! Thanks to Amazon for their awesome Prime shipping (came within 2 days) and thanks to Anker for making a super product!

This hub seems to be well-designed, is unobtrusive, and works well when you just need a few more ports. It’s not an independently-powered hub so of course I would limit the number of high-current devices plugged in. It seems like you can charge a battery through the hub without issues – I haven’t had any problems doing that yet. The hub gets warm when power is being consumed through it but that’s about it. Speed-wise, the hub itself does not seem to slow down data transfers.
Stanislav Veinberg –
Excellent hub for plugging in multiple USB devices, especially since laptops seem to come with fewer ports now. I use an extra USB-powered monitor and a USB wireless mouse, which immediately brings my available number of USB ports from 3 to 1, so being able to bring that number back up is a must. The USB3.0 interphase also makes sure that data transfer rates are fast. The build quality is very good.
Slimlou –
Nice, compact design. However, after some research after the fact, I’m returning it. Based on its specifications, the maximum total current load for all connected devices should not exceed 900mA. Because my laptop only has one USB 3.0 port, I know that multiple devices I plan to connect will exceed this. So I’ve purchased another similar but powered device. My personal requirements don’t warrant taking away any stars for it.
S. MacGregor –
I will admit that when I first received this item I was anxious that it would not perform. It is exceedingly light and therefore I thought it would be flimsy. But I was wrong! It works very well and is powerful. Wonderful deal for the money. After having dealt with the company on another matter (an issue with a USB cord) I have to say that I would not hesitate to order any of their products because they stand behind their items and responded lightning fast to my queries. I am confident that even if for some reason I had an issue, it would be resolved. (I have not been compensated in any way for this comment! Was just really impressed with product and customer service!)
James B –
Since this isn’t a powered hub, the output amperage is the same as a normal USB 3.0 port – 900 mA. It says in the booklet not to exceed 900 mA for stable usage. In other words, it’s no good for charging multiple devices, running hard drives or anything else that requires more current. It should specifically say this in the product description. Otherwise the build quality is quite good, and the product has a sleek minimalist design.
Mélissa Boivin –
I bought this for my samsung Tab Pro because there aren’t any extra usb ports on the tablet. It works very well. I am able to use my tablet and attach usb devices such as a mouse and keyboard, a dvd drive, and litterally anything else one can connect to a regular computer! It is small (fits in my hand). Very light, and stylish. I am very satisfied with this item. Reasonably priced and arrived very quickly. It works very well. 🙂

Works great, got this so that i could connect my Corsair M95 Vengence mouse and K90 Vengence keyboard. No issues at all. Other USB hubs wouldn’t work properly. Update: Lowering rating, not enough power is supplied to a gaming mouse and gaming keyboard both of which have LED. The mouse will intermittently disconnect. The amazon USB hub had the same issue even though it had it’s own power supply. Solved my problem by getting an AmazonBasics USB extension cable sadly.
Cortex –
Produit conforme à celui affiché sur Amazon. Livraison rapide. Fonctionne bien.
Amazon Customer –
These will not work with any high power items like most usb peripherals like keyboards/mice/webcams/etc. For me this thing was useless, and I;m kind of upset with myself for not realizing this was the wrong item for me. I’m struggling to think of a use for an item like this, because using multiple thumb drives on a usb hub like this would cause a bottleneck at the single usb port and you would not even be able to achieve usb 3.0 speeds with more than one drive. I wish they made it more clear that this was not a powered hub.
Crystal Schmitz –
Bought it to expand the number of USB slots on my PS4 however it draws too much power and causes interference with the PS4’s wifi/bluetooth antenna, resulting in slower network speeds (whether wired or wifi) and the controller to lag and disconnect frequently, no matter how close to the console you are. Disappointed.
Cuong Nguyen –
Update : Anker contacts and offers a replacement one. It works perfectly. Thanks. ——————————————————————————————————————- It works well when arrived. I used it to connect usb-wifi, usb 3 hard-drive, usb speaker, etc. It does all the jobs. But after 3 months, all ports felt. Not even a single port is working. In the end, waste of money.
Travis Forsyth –
Anker has some really nice looking products and rates very highly within a lot of the communities I am part of online. Unfortunately, this hub (in my case) specifically knocks out my WiFi, Bluetooth, and wireless signal for my mice on any USB 3.0 port I plug it into across 3 computers. I am not sure if this is a shielding issue or a problem with the USB 3.0 spec but I can, however, remedy the issue by putting the hub on a 6-foot extension cord and move it far from the other devices and it will clear up the interference but this is detrimental to the slim and portable nature of the hub as I now I have to tote a 6 foot USB extension around with me alongside the hub just to be able to use it. Hope to see improvements on future versions of this product as I really enjoy the rest of Ankers products. ** Update: Anker has kindly reached out to me after this review and apologize for the poor experience with the hub and offered me an explanation that this is an issue not with just this product but ALL USB 3.0 hubs and gave me a refund for my troubles. I’ll keep waiting for an improved product and in the meantime keep using the hub on an extension cable.
Burns –
Bought this for my Microsoft Surface Pro 2 to add more USB 3.0 connections. Kinda finicky but does work. Finicky in the sense that when I plug my phone and portable HDD into it, it take a try or 2 to get it to read both, once it works though transfer speeds are great!
Allen Lydiard –
I bought this for my laptop which only had 3 USB ports, I needed more than that so I quickly took to Amazon in search of a hub as the old hub I had bought from Walmart wasn’t very good and was on its last legs. I have had this product for almost a year now and I have no complaints whatsoever. I would definitely recommend this product to my family and friends and to anyone who is looking for an external USB hub.
Rami Mutlaq –
I always buy from Anker and never had any problems with their products or customer service. If I did have a problem, they always handled it professionally and made sure my issue is resolved right away. Thank you Anker! You have the best customer service and the best products!
Fercho Maldonado –
Awesome product! Super light and portable, and allows data transfer @ 3.0 speed. What else can you ask for? First pictures shows 3 USB 3.0 Flash drives and a 3.0 HDD all connected simultaneously to my PC using this device and also shows file transfer speed between 2 of the devices connected. Second pictures shows the device with the connected flash drives/HDD.
Joey –
The hub does what the manufacturer claims. It is much lighter than previous similar product I bought, and has 4 sockets that are enough for most users. The sockets are tight, just a little. However, they ensure that you do not lose a dangling flash drive. Neat and proper job to my assessment.
Edward D –
This product is really good for what it is meant to do however I feel like it is a little deceiving. It might just be me not paying attention to detail but you can not use this device to charge devices which is the primary reason I bought it. This is not explicitly mentioned anywhere in the description and in the instruction book there is even a picture of an iPad being plugged into it. Anker was very helpful and I am still overall satisfied with the purchase.
itsjustme –
I’m using this with my BlackBerry KEYone after a USB OTG cable, and it works perfectly. I can connect multiple devices, such as an external keyboard, mouse, flash drive, etc. Unlike others, I don’t have any concerns with the plastic housing. Nor did I find it difficult to insert USB devices.
Amazon Customer –
Was working fine for a few months but then it broke down. Now it randomly loses connection, which really sucks because I use it to connect my mechanical keyboard for playing games :(. When I plugged my Yeti microphone into it, it made my voice sound abnormally low like a man’s (I’m a girl). My microphone started working perfectly as soon as I plugged it back into my laptop’s USB port. EDIT: Anker reached out to me and told me I might’ve gotten a defective one. My new one is working perfectly for now, but I wish it would be easier and smoother to put stuff into the usb ports.
Ari Kline –
It works well, but has a VERY low output so only buy if you’re going to use low powered devices on this like mice and keyboards or for data transfer. Don’t buy if you need to charge anything off of it or power something more than a mouse or keyboard.
Lynne Irwin –
I love this product! I am going to have to purchase another one. Having this at the front of my puter instead of the rear is a Godsend for someone such as myself who has mobility issues. Now I have everything that is hooked up to my puter within hands’ reach. Thank you for such a helpful and useful tool.
T.Lewis –
Does this do the job? Yes! Is it affordable? Yes! The product came nicely packaged and you pretty much plg it in and start working. There are no mounting holes for those who are curious and it is made of a plastic matrrial. The cord is built in so if you need a longer one you will have to look into a USB to USB connector and extend. But great for carrying around with my laptop and even when I am at home. I’m no longer transferring files from 1 USB to another or sacrificing the use of a keyboard or mouse to keep working. Would buy this again in a heartbeat
Ric –
It’s really slim. Perfect for ultrabooks. The construction of the USB ports is NOT perfect; i.e., it’s not perfectly aligned. As a result, I have to tilt the USB key a little towards the top to insert it. If I don’t insert the USB key at a slight angle, it doesn’t slide into the port. Expected better considering all the rave reviews.
Maxime Sabourin –
I’ve always been really happy about the Anker products. This time is no different. This Hub is light, small and fast. Unfortunately, when I try to transfer files from my portable HDD WD 2TB to a flashdrive, it didn’t work. The same day, I received an email from Anker asking me about my satisfaction. I told them this issue, and they said the chipset in the hub has compatibility issues with some WD and Seagate HDD. They told me they were working on a model that would work, but that it’s not available just yet. They then offered to reimburse me and let me keep the hub, which works fine with multiple flashdrives, my phone, etc. The customer service deserves more than 5 stars. Thank you Anita!
Amazon Customer –
The hub is slim and light.. like others have mentioned the physical fit is not perfect, as the usb connectors don’t easily slide in and out of the slots, and don’t sit entirely inside. My main issue is with the interrupted connection. My mouse and keyboard that are connected to the hub keep cutting out for seconds at a time, with delayed transmission of typed letters, and sometimes recognizing some keystrokes as doubles. I use AutoCAD and other design softwares on my laptop so any interruption in delivery of commands causing redos creates delays and major frustration for me. I bought the data hub in June, and have used it for about 3 months now. Hoping for the customer service to send me a replacement that would work as expected, otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend the product.
The Eloquent Savage –
•• The short and gritty •• This is a USB 3.0 adapter with 4 slots. It works wonderfully. Anker has been building a solid reputation across Amazon, and I frequently buy their products when I’m looking for cheap, non-Chinese fixes. So far, I have multiple battery chargers from them, and I haven’t had a problem yet. •• Why I Bought This •• I bought this adapter for my father-in-law. I’d recently bought him a new laptop, but the Wifi was wonky. I went over to his house, planning to plug an ethernet cable (the thing that makes the internet work without Wifi) into his laptop. Unfortunately, I’d purchased a laptop that didn’t have one of those. Whoops! Welcome to planet oversight! The good news is that there’s a simple work-around. I bought this off of Amazon: AmazonBasics USB 3.0 to 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter. It allows you to bypass Wifi by hard-wiring your cable modem via ethernet cable to your laptop. EVEN a laptop without an ethernet port. The other problem was, the laptop is a super slim ultrabook, meaning it only had 2 USB ports. That’s not enough for an ethernet adapter, mouse and keyboard dongle, and leftover room to plug in a hard drive. So I bought him this Anker USB adapter, and he now has room for everything he could want. Everything works. USB 3.0 is the current standard in terms of speedy, reliable transfer-ability. Couldn’t be happier.
Dewayalage P Tilakaratna –
It works as advertised. But the only issue I had was I was, when trying to use this with my PS4, it kept causing interference with my controller. This caused the controller to lose connection intermittently. I worked around the problem by using a long USB extension cable and putting this thing further away from the PS4.
XaeriS –
The product works well, regarding specs. However, the cable is really too small and rigid for a correct usage. The size of the cable is not advertised enough. For instance, it is not long enough to go from a back side USB port on a regular PC tower to either the top, either the bottom of the tower. Even on a laptop, the cable is kind of rigid, so the angle on the picture is not naturally obtained ( might be better with time, I don’t know), and force you to put your devices not behind the screen but next to the USB port.

**UPDATE*** after writing this review I received prompt support from anker and they made up for the inconvenience the product was giving me. thank you anker. all worked well until I upgraded to OSX High Sierra which could probably mean a software issue. all my printers were connected to this little hub and they all worked like a charm always recognized by the Mac now I have to reinstall the printer every time I turn on or reconnect the printers something that does not happen when I plug the printers directly to the Mac.
jldy –
The product (the usb 4 port data hub) that I received is working great and meets all my expectations as I hoped it would ! As always Amazon delivery was more then I expected and I appreciate that. Thank You Anker and Thank You Amazon 🙂
Gil –
This functions fine as a hub but when I plug in a new device the ones that are already plugged in disconnect. If all are plugged in around the same time they function fine. I imagine this is because it’s not a powered hub, but 2 hard drives should work (and do work after disconnecting once) so I feel like there is something going on electronically with the hub rather than the power draw on my computer.
sweetslush –
Just amazing. Slim as paper. Every anchor product makes me fall in love with them. Over again. 4 Ports, all in use – – Razer Deathadder Chroma Mouse, – Generic Keyboard, – WD 5400RPM External HDD over USB 3.0, – External 5.1 channel USB SoundCard over USB 2.0 I was expecting transfer speeds of my HDD to be throttled, (now that bandwidth is split in 4), believe it or not, not a decimal (noticeable) drop in performance. Glad I didn’t buy powered USB Hub in fear of power throttling my stuff (RGB lights, HDD motor etc), everything just works, literally.

I’ve had this for just under one year After 4 months one of the 4 ports stopped working. Then 2 weeks later a second port stopped working. then later on about 6 months after purchase the third port stopped working. The problem here is that i was working on an excel spreadsheet for my work and when it crashed i lost all my work!!! about 4 hours of work gone…. Now only one port works…which makes it useless since i could just connect the device directly into the computer. I threw this piece of junk into the trash this morning.

UPDATE: 11/27/2017 Anker sent me a replacement very quickly and this one works well, it does not flicker when I have a monitor plugged into it and the mouse does not act like it did with the previous one. This replacement works great! I have updated my Review as this Free replacement works exactly like it should. Thanks Anker I will definitely buy future products from you! OLD Review: 11/22/2017 Been using this for some months now and the only complain I have is one… if you plug in a mouse or a sound device I would strongly not recommend it. I have some drives and a chargers and those work fine but if I plug in a mouse the mouse is not as responsive and its annoying, if you plug in a headset there is static noise in the headphones. So this could be great if they fixed that… so unless its just my device there are some issue with this.
Oopril –
Bought it and honestly its not bad at all. So far its not giving me any troubles and it works :3 If you’re on a budget, don’t get it. Buy it when its like under $16.99 or if its on some sort of sale. But if you don’t care when it comes to money, then it’ll work for you 🙂
Eric from Ottawa –
Works well for small USB devices, but the second that I connect a USB Backup drive my keyboard and mouse intermittently stop working to the point that it’s unusable. If you plan on connecting a USB Backup drive, look elsewhere for a Powered USB 3.0 Hub.
Francis Navarro –
As always a great product from Anker. I put 3 stars for two things that I would have liked better. 1) To plug an item to the unit is hard!!! very hard!!! On the one hand it won’t disconnect. 2) The spacing could have been longer to leave room for those USB’s that are bulky and take up space. I find myself disconnecting on to leave space for another!
Amazon Customer –
I got this about 2 weeks ago. I only used 1 port for the most part. Need to used other ports the last couple I days. I realized 2 of the 4 ports randomly connect/disconnect my devices. At first I thought maybe the is an issue with my HDD. I check other HDD and still the same issue. Then I thought maybe the issue is power consumed by HDD, so I tried a used bluetooth connector and a couple of other gadgets. And the random disconnection/ connection was consistent on two ports. Update: the seller contacted me and sent me another unit lightning quickly. The new one works as advertised. I am super happy with the new unit. Excellent customer service!

great little USB 3.0 hub for my small laptop. Needed a small hub because my laptop only has one USB port on it, and this fits the bill. Small, well made, and great priced. I’ve purchased a lot of Anker products in the past, and they never let me down.

Excellent product, but it lost a star because the cable needs to be at least another foot long. I had to buy a short USB3.0 extension cable. Not too happy about that; I would have paid a few bucks more for this one if it was longer. Otherwise, super!

Works as expected. I’m using it with an old MacBook so I haven’t been able to test the speed of transfers with USB 3, but I have a gaming mouse and extended keyboard attached and have had none of the connection issues I’ve had with other USB hubs. The connector is nice and slim, so it doesn’t obstruct the other ports on my MacBook (because they are obnoxiously close together!). Haven’t tried using it with my iLok plugged in as well, but I don’t foresee any issues. Build quality is good, better than I would have expected for the price. 10/10 would buy again.

The form factor for this USB3 hub is quite perfect when you need to simulate RAID or LVM or openZFS without actual spinning discs. This thing fits into the thinnest pocket of my laptop bag without issue… super portable. Feels a little cheap, but it’s great for what it needs to do.

Great little 4 port USB 3.0 hub from Anker. Would Highly recommend to everyone looking for a USB 3.0 hub. I have been using this hub for more than a year now and it has never had an issue, it just does what its designed to perfectly. Installation was a simple as plugging it in for me on both computers that I have tried it with and it has recognized all 3.0 and 2.0 devices that i have plugged into it. Would recommend Anker products to those people looking for quality that holds up.

Quite disappointed with this hub, the plastic feels very cheap and the ports are difficult to plug into and feel flimsy. Bought from Anker as their products are usually good quality, but this one is worse than the cheap usb hub I bought from a Chinese seller awhile back.

This worked okay for a keyboard dongle but lost effectiveness when a storage card was inserted as well. I tried angling the thing so the keyboard dongle had a clear shot at transmission but this didn’t help, kept finding myself pointing it at the dongle – not good. I put the big cumbersome powered USB hub back in and all was fine again. I gave it 2 starts as it might come in handy for attaching, by cable, low draw USB devices.

Great little hub with a fast reading/writing speed. Wish the cable wish a little longer but thats why I got an extended cable with it. I have this attached to the underside of my desk to manage my cables and have my keyboard, mouse, and headphones plugged into it. I now have more USB ports available on my computer directly. I originally bought this for an Oculus Rift to manage all my sensors and it work perfectly without any error codes telling me of latency issues. I returned the Rift but I kept this hub which became very useful for my wire management setup. It feels light and a little flimsy but Anker has a good reputation for making quality products and offer lifetime warranty on most of their products. They would gladly replace any products that failed as long as you didn’t destroy it.

I’m very happy with this USB hub. I’ve used it for the past 2 months to attach a keyboard, mouse and, occasionally, an external hard drive to my laptop. It’s worked beautifully so far and I haven’t run into any problems with it. I like that the cable ends are recessed into both the main hub and USB connector, putting less strain on the cable connections. The indicator light is also quite nice. It’s a dark blue colour and not very bright or distracting, but you can easily see if the hub has power. My only gripe is with the cord length. It would be nice if it was just a couple of inches longer. Other than that, I think this is a great lightweight USB hub for the price.

I should have read the fine print, this is rated for 1 HD, then you have used up the power rating. (It will work for a while with more but at your own risk and will eventually die) Can plug multiple things into it like mouse, keyboard, charging cables, USB storage etc, but only 1 HD. So I guess it does what it is supposed to but not what I needed it for.

Works as it should, lightweight and compact which is great for travel, looks sleek and clean. I use a macbook pro to produce music and have found that I am able to plug in my midi controller and various storage devices without any issues or trouble with data transfer speeds. You couldn’t ask for more for the price ultimately.

Works with PS4. Just dont plug your secondary hardrive to it because it wont work. Sony specifically states that any external harddrives need to be connected directly to a usb port on the console. If you dont, then its not Anker’s fault. Any peripherals such as controllers (even 3rd party), headsets that has a standard usb will work

I didn’t realize that the sum of mA shouldn’t exceed 900mA. An external hard drive is already 900mA. The instruction package includes values for a mouse, keyboard, etc. Low mA would be 300mA but that would mean only use 3 of the 4 ports. It works as it is intended but if I wanted to transfer data from one external hard drive to another, it wouldn’t be able to handle it. Oh well.

Works perfect and just what I needed for my Asus transformer 2 in 1 computer. The computer itself only has 2 usbs so this product helps out more then you think. Another wonderful product from anker.
Amazon Customer –
Exactly what I wanted. Use it on the macbook pro (2013 model). There are too many things that require a USB slot nowadays and this is a nice small compact solution for an expansion.
Noah Botman –
Well built. Works well on my iMac. I had purchased a previous model from another company with buttons (to switch each port on or off individually), but that proved a mistake and a weak point. Unless you absolutely need that feature, I find that hubs without buttons are more reliable.

I love Anker as my last purchase with anker. They contacted me and send me an updated wireless charger. But again I am disappointed with my purchase. There is always power go through the cables but they don’t charge my phone and headphones. So I am not using it anymore.

First Anker product I have purchased that is a piece of junk. I bought one just like this last year and it worked very well. This one is cheap and it is very difficult, sometimes impossible, to plug items in. Can’t get the mouse USB connector into the slot, head set connector finally went in after struggling with it. Now when I plug my mouse into my computer USB port it says it is damaged.

I was running out of USB ports on my laptop and this was a great solution to allow me to add more USB port. What I love about this device is you can turn on or off the port with the push of a button. Very Cool. Had it for a few months now with no issues. I definitely recommend this.

This is the second one of these I bought since the first one worked so well. No lost connection, firm solid slots hold USB in place. Great quality at a good price. Delivered earlier than expected.
Dany Hawk –
It’s a nice hub, but the cable is ridiculously short. If you have a notebook, that’s probably not a big deal, but if you are thinking of plugging this on your mid or mini tower and having it remain on top of the case, it doesn’t reach at all. If you are thinking of plugging it using the USB front panel of your case, it’s going to mostly hang in the air as it won’t come flat on your desk.
Nicolas –
I purchased this hub for my ps4. My intention was to free up ports for charge cables while not having to unplug my external hard drive or my headphones dongle. While this did not work as intended(as both of those need to plugged directly into the system to operate properly) the hub still works well for all other purposes.
Kasey –
Since the Rift uses three 3.0 USB ports, I needed a hub for my PC. This was the answer, and so far I’ve found no issues. Great price and does exactly as it’s meant to. The cord could use another couple inches, but it’s not a deal breaker.

The first one I bought stopped working after a few times of using it. I reached out to Anker support and a very nice rep by the name of Kevin responded to me. He helped me replace the product much faster than I expected. He followed up every step of the way, even when they shipped it out. I was genuinely impressed at the level of care and effort Anker took to helping me when I needed it. Buy Anker with confidence. This is a company that fully stands behind its products, and takes cares of its customers. I’ve had Anker products in the past and they’ve all been excellent, but the time I needed their help, they were there for me and remarkably at a much higher level than I expected, that it caught me off guard. I was not pressured, asked, nor encouraged to write a review. I am not affiliated to Anker in any way, nor was I offered promotional items for reviews. I speak 100% by myself, for myself.

I plugged this thing into my computer and plugged 3 devices into it and everything worked (and they are still working a month later). Can’t ask for anything more. That said, the USB3.0 isn’t working on my computer at the moment since I had to hack my new laptop to get Win7 on it because Win10 is absolute garbage so I can’t comment on how well the USB3.0 stuff works.

I have a Surface Pro 4 which have 1 USB port only so that’s why I needed to get this. I’ve been using this for over a month now and I have my mouse and a WI-FI adapter connected to it. I haven’t had any issues with it and I think this is great for travelling. It’s light-weight and not bulky so I can easily slip it in one of the pockets in my suitcase. It looks great and probably much better looking than the ones that are more expensive than this one. In fact, some of the other ones look like something I would find at a dollar store. I’m just glad I read all the reviews before I made my choice for this one. I will be connecting my keyboard to it along with my mouse and WI-FI adapter so hopefully, they will all work fine.

Great build quality Anker 4- port USB Hub Just Got this. The build quality is great, the usb ports are perfectly aligned, not wonky like some alternatives in this price range. – Its so light, that its like your not holding anything in your hands. – Works well, transfers rates i’m sure are spot on, no way for me to test this, but seems fast as advertised.

I was skeptic if this is only used for charging, but to answer people’s question: this works on oculus sensors. Not only that, but you can have printers, mouse, and keyboard all at once and they will all still work! Perfect for laptop user
A. C. Nice –
This is one of those things you just want to work, it worked for a while but somewhere along the way it started being unreliable – requiring it to be unplugged and plugged back in, or particular devices to be reconnected.
Maxime Hache –
I bought one for my work laptop. Worked perfectly. I then needed a USB hub for my personnal computer too and i tought that buying another one would be a great idea. IT WAS NOT! A few seconds after plugin it in Windows crashed (Blue screen) and could no longer startup (Blue screen, reboot, blue screen…). Had to restore from a recent backup. Something is seriously wrong with the product and i would no longer trust it or recommend. Hard to troubleshoot when your computer can no longer boot after pluging it in. Unpluging it also don’t fix the issue. Also, this item is NOT RETURNABLE/REFUNDABLE! I am currently in contact with customer support trying to get a refund.

The reason I am leaving a 3 stars review is that when I have my wireless adaptor in and plug in an external hard drive, the wireless mouse stops working… I’m guessing because of the heavy” workload the hard drive puts on this adaptor. I don’t think it would cause problem with a regular USB thumb drive but I bought this for the purpose of having my wireless mouse and my external hard drive plugged in therefore it is a let down for me”
